General Configuration
There are a number of general network parameters that need to be defined as part
of the gateway‟s configuration:
The IP Address of Gateway
The Subnet Mask of Gateway
The SIP Domain – SIP Domain assigned in SCS
The SCS IP Address – IP Address of SCS
To configure the gateway, type the following commands:
# LAN side Ethernet interface
interface ethernet 0/1
ip address 20.20.20.1 255.255.255.0
exit ethernet
# Assign SIP domain (configured in the SCS) to SIP server and registrar.
sip ua
sip-server dns:demo.com
registrar dns:demo.com
exit
# Configure the bind address where the SR receives SIP messages.
voice service voip
sip
bind all ipv4:20.20.20.1:5060
exit
exit
# Assign the SCS IP address to SIP domain.
ip host_add demo.com 20.20.20.2
T1/E1/PRI Configuration
To equip the gateway with T1/E1/PRI, several parameters need to be configured:
The Port Location on the gateway
The switch type for the T1/E1/PRI – Options are primary-5ess, primary-ni2,
primary-dms100, primary-ntt, primary-qsig, and primary-euro.
The Pattern to match for Inbound SIP Calls – dial pattern to route to PRI
The Dial plan tag – tag to reference the dial plan. Can be 1 - 2147483647
