FXS Configuration
To equip the FXS port of the gateway, several parameters need to be configured:
The Port Location on the gateway
The Station Number – User ID configured in the SCS for this port
The Destination pattern – should match the User ID as this is what alerts on
the port.
Authentication – User ID followed by the SIP Password for the User
configured in SCS
To configure FXS ports on the gateway, type the following commands:
# Configure an FXS phone and register it to the SCS.
# Assuming the following:
# • FXS phone has a telephone number 1000 and connected to 2/1 slot.
# • FXS phone has SIP password 1234 (need to be same password as
configured in the SCS for user 1000)
