Determining the IP Address
FRITZ!Box – 6 Guidebook 45
Windows XP or 2000 at the USB Port
1. Click “Start / Run”.
2. Enter “cmd” in the input field and confirm by clicking
“OK”.
A cursor prompt appears.
3. Enter “ipconfig /all”.
4. Look for the section in which “AVM FRITZ!Box” is listed
under “Description”. Make a note of the IP address list-
ed there.
Windows XP or 2000 at the LAN Port
1. Click “Start / Run”.
2. Enter “cmd” in the input field and confirm by clicking
“OK”.
A cursor prompt appears.
3. Enter “ipconfig /all”.
4. Look for the section that contains the network card
used to connect the computer with FRITZ!Box under
“Description”. Make a note of the IP address listed
there.
Windows Me or 98 at the USB Port
1. Click “Start / Run”.
2. Enter “winipcfg” in the input field and confirm by click-
ing “OK”.
The “IP Configuration” window opens.
3. Select the device “AVM USB NDIS Miniport Driver”.
Make a note of the IP address listed there.
Windows Me or 98 at the LAN Port
1. Click “Start / Run”.
2. Enter “winipcfg” in the input field and confirm by click-
ing “OK”.
The “IP Configuration” window opens.
