8. Click the plug icon (KInternet) to dial into the Internet. It
may be necessary to click on the plug icon with the right
mouse button to enable the DSL interface and your In-
ternet connection.
Make sure that no other default gateway was defined, be-
cause otherwise the address “fritz.box” may not be found.
6.7 Connecting Cable
It is possible to lengthen the cables of FRITZ!Box. Remember
that the quality of the line may be decrease as the distance
from the central switching station increases.
Note the following maximum cable lengths:
! maximum length of the network cable: 100 m,
use a CAT 5 cable.
! maximum length of the USB cable: 5 m
! maximum length of the DSL cable: 20 m,
use a CAT 5 cable.
