Configuration as a DSL Router (Routing Mode)
1. Under the “Internet Connection” command, select the
subcommand “FRITZ!Box provides an Internet Connec-
tion that can be shared (router)”.
2. Enter the access information you received from your In-
ternet Service Provider in the corresponding fields.
3. The timer and port forwarding settings can also be con-
figured here.
4. Apply your settings.
FRITZ!Box is now configured for multiple-workplace opera-
tion. All connected computers can access the Internet
directly. FRITZ!Box provides the Internet connection for all
connected computers.
Configuration as a DSL Modem
1. Select the menu command “Internet Connection / Con-
nected Computers Use FRITZ!Box as a DSL Modem” and
apply this setting.
2. Start the YaST Control Center (Superuser rights re-
quired).
3. Select the option “Network Devices” and click “DSL.”
4. The “DSL configuration” dialog appears. In the section
“DSL Devices to Configure”, select the device “Un-
known DSL device (PPPoE) detected” and click the
“Change...” button.
5. The dialog “DSL onfiguration overview” appears. Select
“DSL Devices / Add”.
6. In the “DSL configuration” input mask, the “PPP mode”
should be set to “PPP over Ethernet”. Select the entry
“eth-usb” as the “Ethernet card”.
7. Next click “Next” to configure your Internet connection.
Follow the instructions and save your entries withFin-
ish”.
