Thistesthelpsyoutovalidateyourinstallationundercurrentconditions.Theeverydayperformanceofyourinstallationcan
beaffectedbychangesinthescene.
Theradarisreadytouseassoonasitisinstalled,however,werecommendthatyouperformavalidationbeforeyoustarttouse
it.Thiscanincreasetheaccuracyoftheradarbyhelpingyoutoidentifyanyproblemswiththeinstallationormanageobjects
(suchastreesandreectivesurfaces)inthescene.
FirstCalibratetheradaronpage17beforeattemptingthevalidation.
Itisagoodideatoperformthevalidationwhenever:
•Thereareobjectsinthescenethatyouwanttoexcludesothatthezonescancontaincertainobjectssuchasvegetations
ormetalsurfaces.
•YoupairtheradarwithaPTZcameraandwanttocongureRadarautotracking.
•Theradarmountingheighthaschanged.
Validatetheradar
Checkthattherearenofalsedetections
1.Checkthatthedetectionzoneisclearfromhumanactivity.
2.Waitforafewminutestoensurethattheradarisnotdetectinganystaticobjectsinthedetectionzone.
3.Iftherearenounwanteddetectionsyoucanskipstep4.
4.Ifthereareunwanteddetections,learnhowtolteroutcertaintypesofmovementorobjects,changethecoverage,or
adjustthedetectionsensitivityinMinimizefalsealarmsonpage23.
Checkforthecorrectsymbolanddirectionoftravelwhentheradarisapproachedfromthefront
1.Gointotheradar’swebinterfaceandrecordthesession.Forhelpdoingthis,gotoRecordandwatchvideoonpage20.
2.Start60m(197ft)infrontoftheradarandwalkdirectlytowardstheradar.
3.Checkthesessionintheradar’swebinterface.Thesymbolforahumanclassicationshouldappearwhenyouaredetected.
4.Checkthattheradar’swebinterfaceshowsthecorrectdirectionoftravel.
