thestrongerthegain.SelecttheLinearorEqualizationautomaticgaincontrolmethod.Thelatterusesahistogramequalization
method,whichadjuststhegaindynamicallybydistributingthemostfrequentintensityvalues.
Exposurezones-Thissettingsdetermineswhichpartoftheimageisusedtocalculatetheexposure.Formostsituations,theAuto
settingcanbeused.Forparticularrequirement,selectDenedandthenclickEditandselectoneofthepredenedareas.
Gain-Gainistheamountofamplicationappliedtoanimagesignal.Moregainmeansmorecontrastandmoredetailsbutalso
morenoise.Themaxgainvalueissetforallscenes,butaffectsprimarilylowcontrastscenescontrollingtheamountofallowednoise
intheimage,whichinturnalsolimitsthecontrast.
