Notealsothatallmulticastviewerscountasoneunicastviewerinthemaximumtotalof10
simultaneousconnections.
AXISMediaControlnegotiateswiththeAxisproducttodeterminethetransportprotocoltouse.Theorderofpriority,listedinthe
AMCControlPanel,canbechangedandtheoptionsdisabled,tosuitspecicrequirements.

H.264islicensedtechnology.TheAxisproductincludesoneH.264viewingclientlicense.Installingadditionalunlicensed

MJPEGformat
ThisformatusesstandardJPEGstillimagesforthevideostream.Theseimagesarethendisplayedandupdatedataratesufcient
tocreateastreamthatshowsconstantlyupdatedmotion.
TheMotionJPEGstreamusesconsiderableamountsofbandwidth,butprovidesexcellentimagequalityandaccesstoeveryimage
containedinthestream.TherecommendedmethodofaccessingMotionJPEGlivevideofromtheAxisproductistousetheAXIS
MediaControlinInternetExplorerinWindows.

ToensuresupportfortheOpusaudiocodec,theMotionJPEGstreamisalwayssentoverRTP.
