C. Container Storage
It is recommended that the factory-shipping container and packing materials be retained
should it become necessary, for any reason, to re-ship the Test Set, such as for the
O.E.M. recertification.
D. Items not included
(1) Adapter Interface Harnesses ā Contact Barfield with your aircraft requirements.
2. GROUNDING (EARTHING)
A. The DFQ40K is equipped with a banana Ground jack labeled GND to ground the test set
to the airframe chassis.
3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
A. The DFQ40K is equipment intended for supply only from a low energy battery source.
There is no provision for powering the tester from AC voltage sources.
B. The Barfield DFQ40K is powered from 6 internally housed Alkaline C Cell Batteries
accessible without disassembly by the 2 rear mounted holders (refer to Figure 5).

C. P/N 101-01502 may be powered from the batteries or from the aircraft 28 VDC. The
Power Cable Assembly, P/N 175-00252, is connected to a bulkhead connector mounted
on the left side of the Test Set case (refer to Figure 6).
The 175-00252 cable terminates in a 2 Pole Twist Lock connector, P/N HBL7465V, for
its connection to the aircraft (refer to Figure 12).
