Material buildup can also cause this, so clean or change the cutters. Check if the cutters are too tight. For other issues, grease the threads, adjust the height knob to raise the cage, reset the throttle, adjust the pulley, replace with the proper belt, adjust the height of the machine, replace the wheels or replace the axle.
