18.0 External Low Voltage Controls
18.1
Optional Outdoor Sensor & External Controls
1. When one of the optional Baxi 7 day wired, 7 day wireless
or 24hr wireless sensors is connected to 1 & 2 of boiler wiring
terminal M2 the outdoor sensor curve must be set from the
wired or wireless sensor.
2. The method of setting the curve is described in the
instructions supplied with the wired or wireless sensor.
3. However, if a proprietary OpenTherm® device is to be
connected to 1 & 2 of boiler wiring terminal M2 it is necessary
to set the outdoor sensor curve using the boiler central heating
temperature buttons BEFORE connecting the OpenTherm®
device.
4. If future adjustment of the curve is required then the device
must be disconnected beforehand.
18.2
External Controls connected to M2
1. When one of the optional wired or wireless sensors or a
proprietary OpenTherm® device is connected to 1 & 2 of
boiler wiring terminal M2 the operation of the boiler central
heating and domestic hot water temperature buttons is altered.
2. They can no longer be used to set the heating or hot water
temperature, which must be done using the optional sensor or
proprietary OpenTherm® device which overrides the boiler
control buttons.
3. The buttons must still be used when activating the
De-Aeration or ‘Chimney Sweep’ functions for example.
