5. Prepare the espresso (see the “Preparation” chapter – Preparing Espresso or Coffee”).
6. Pour the hot espresso through the milk froth at the edge of the glass.
Cleaning and Care
PLEASE NOTE!
Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean
the device. These may damage the surface.
1. Take the porta lter (d) out of the device and empty it (see the “Handling and Operation”
chapter – “Removing the Porta lter from the Device”).
2. Remove the used sieve insert (b / c) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting /
Removing the Sieve Insert”).
3. Empty the drip tray (e) after each use (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting /
Removing the Drip Tray”).
4. Clean all used accessories with detergent and warm water.
5. Wipe the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little detergent to remove more
intense soiling.
6. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.
Cleaning the Steam Nozzle
To prevent any blockage, the steam nozzle (6) must be cleaned after each use.
1. Pull the milk frother nozzle (5) of the steam nozzle gradually down and off and clean the
nozzle with detergent and warm water.
2. Turn the steam nozzle over the drip tray (e).
3. Switch on the device by touching the eld (4). The other operating elds light up and
ash. The device starts the heating process. As soon as all operating elds are permanently
lit, the device is preheated.
Please Note! The device must remain in brewing mode for cleaning. Do NOT activate
steam mode!
4. Turn the steam power control (1) to the position.
5. Touch the eld
(2) to rinse milk and beverage residues out of the steam nozzle.
6. After a little while, touch the eld
again to stop water from being emitted.
7. Wipe down the steam nozzle with a damp cloth.
If the steam nozzle has become clogged, you can release the blockage with a needle.
