The supply voltage is connected to the device casing through protective
elements exclusively.
2.4.1 Connecting the power supply and signal lines
Supply voltage
The supply voltage can be connected redundantly. Both inputs are
uncoupled. There is no distributed load. With redundant supply, the power
supply unit with the higher output voltage supplies the device on its own.
The supply voltage is electrically isolated from the housing.
With a non-redundant supply of the supply voltage, the device reports the
loss of a supply voltage. You can prevent this message by applying the
supply voltage via both inputs, or by changing the configuration in the
Management.
