ADF-T12C/D AUTOMATIC
DIRECTION FINDER SYSTEM
Installation
Manual
SECTION I
GENERAL INFORMATION
DESCRIPTION1-1.
The basic Automatic Direction Finding (ADF) system consists of an ADF receiver, a
fixed-loop antenna and aservo-amplifier bearing indicator. Table 1-1 describes the com¬
ponents and accessories used in various ADF-T-12C and ADF-T-12D system configurations.
Figure 1-1 illustrates some of these components. The sole difference between an ADF-T-
12C and an ADF-T-12D system is the digitally tuned 201F ADF receiver. Use of the 201F
receiver classifies the system as an ADF-T-12D. All components (including the receiver)
and accessories are system-interchangeable. Specifications for both systems are listed in
table 1-2. Dimensions, weights and connector data are given on the outline drawings in
Section III.
