Operating Instructions
Stopping the Dumper
Manual Gearbox
z Remove foot from the accelerator pedal.
z Depress the clutch pedal and apply the footbrake.
z When the dumper has stopped apply the handbrake and move
the gearlever into the neutral position.
z Release the clutch pedal.
Torque Converter Transmission
z Remove the foot from the accelerator pedal.
z Apply the footbrake.
z When the vehicle has stopped apply the handbrake.
z Move the gear lever into the neutral position.
Parking Brake
Models 2 to 3 Tonne
These dumpers have a parking brake system which is integral
with the front axle and is operated by an over centre handbrake,
located to the right of the drivers seat.
Models 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 Tonne
These dumpers have a separate parking brake system comprising
a transmission disc brake interposed between the gearbox and
transfer box, which is operated by a ratchet handbrake, located
to the right of the drivers seat.
Handbrake Warning
The handbrake may not hold machine on gradients steeper than
8.5º (15%). Always park on flat level ground. (If the dumper is
parked on a slope it must not exceed 8.5º (15%) and the dumper
must be parked across the slope and the wheels chocked. DO NOT
stop or park on a slope that is liable to collapse.
