AIR FILTER
A dirty air fi lter hinders the passage of air,
reduces engine power and increases fuel
consumption. For these reasons it is essen-
tial to clean the air fi lter on a regular basis.
Follow these steps to gain access to the
air fi lter.
•Pull the cover air fi lter.
•Release fi lter fastener 1.
•Pull out air fi lter 2.
•Thoroughly wash the fi lter with water
and soap.
•Dry the fi lter.
•Wet the filter with filter oil and then
remove the excess oil to prevent it from
dripping.
WARNING
Do not clean the fi lter with gasoline or
petrol.
Never use the vehicle if the air fi lter is not
in place. The infi ltration of dust and dirt can
cause damage and considerable wear.
•If necessary clean the inside of the fi lter
box.
•Replace the fi lter taking special care to
ensure the seal of the rubber gasket.
•Attach fi lter fastener 1.
•Apply again the coverage quarter panel.
WARNING:
After each operation check that no object
is left in the fi lter box.
Check the cleaning of the fi lter any time
the motorbike is used off road.
