What to do if the set-point temperature is not reached in my Binder FP 400?
    • M
      marytateAug 18, 2025
If the set-point temperature isn't reached after the specified time, there might be a few reasons. First, make sure the chamber door is completely closed. If it is, inspect the door gasket for any defects and replace it if necessary. Also, the controller might need adjustment; try calibrating it.

What causes my Binder FP 400 chamber to heat permanently and not hold the set-point?
    • C
      Cameron CarrollAug 20, 2025
If your chamber is heating permanently and not holding the set-point, calibrate and adjust the controller. For other potential causes, contact Binder service.

    Colleen CastanedaAug 23, 2025
Why are there deviations from the indicated heating-up times in my Binder Laboratory Equipment?
    • B
      brenda57Aug 23, 2025
Deviations from the indicated heating-up times can occur if the oven is fully loaded. Try charging the oven with less material or consider allowing longer heating-up times.

Why is my Binder FP 400 chamber permanently turned off?
    • K
      kimberly17Aug 26, 2025
If the chamber is permanently turned off, first check the connection to the power supply. Ensure the correct voltage (115V or 230V) is being supplied. Also, check the chamber fuse and replace it if needed. If the fuse responds again, contact Binder service.

What to do if the red indicator lamp is lit and my Binder Laboratory Equipment chamber is permanently turned off?
    • E
      Ethan MillerAug 28, 2025
If the red indicator lamp of safety device class 2 is lit and the chamber is permanently turned off, let the oven cool down and then press the RESET button. Check the temperature set-point and the setting of the safety device, and select a suitable limit value if appropriate.

Why is the program duration longer than programmed on my Binder FP 400 Laboratory Equipment?
    • L
      Lisa CoxSep 4, 2025
If the program duration is longer than programmed, it may be due to inappropriate tolerances. For rapid transition phases, do NOT program tolerance limits to allow maximum heating speed.

    Jennifer WoodardSep 7, 2025
How to fix ramp temperature transitions that are only realized as steps in my Binder FP 400?
    • C
      Cheryl WeaverSep 7, 2025
If ramp temperature transitions are only realized as steps, set the set-point programming type to “Ramp” in the User level.
  • R
    robertsjoyceSep 9, 2025
Why does my Binder FP 400 Laboratory Equipment program stop one section too early?
    • C
      Chase VegaSep 9, 2025
If the program stops one section too early, the program line might be incomplete. Define the end value of the desired cycle by adding an additional section with a section time of at least one minute when programming.
