Getting to Know Your Yeti

Triple Capsule Array

Three condenser capsules in an innovative configuration for great recordings in most situations.

Multiple Pattern Selection

Select from Yeti's four pattern settings (stereo, cardioid, omnidirectional, bidirectional) by rotating the pattern selector knob.

Microphone Gain

Controls the gain (sensitivity) of Yeti's microphone elements. Adjust for loud or quiet sound sources.

Blue Logo

Indicates the front of the microphone.

Set Screws

Tighten to secure the microphone at the desired angle. Unscrew to remove from the desk stand.

Getting Started with Yeti

Standard Thread Mount

Mount Yeti to a studio mount by removing from desk stand and threading in a standard mount.

Recording Modes at a Glance

Stereo Mode

Captures a realistic stereo image, picking up equal signal from left and right channels when centered.

Cardioid Mode

Picks up sound directly in front, rejecting sound from rear and sides, ideal for vocals and podcasts.

Omnidirectional Mode

Picks up sound equally from all directions, perfect for group recordings or capturing room ambience.

Bidirectional Mode

Picks up sound from front and rear, rejecting sides, useful for interviews with two or more guests.
