9.2.3 Lock Screen
On the Apps screen, tap Settings > lock screen.
Use this setting to configure the lock screen of your device.
• Background: Tap drop-down list to choose an image on your device or from the Internet to set as your
lock screen.
• Show artist when playing music: Switch this option to On for displaying the artist’s information on the
lock screen when you play music.
• Choose an app to show detailed status: Tap drop-down list to check the detailed status of selected
apps from the lock screen.
• Choose apps to show quick status: Select some apps that you want to check their status on your lock
screen just as simple icons.
• Screen times out after: Tap drop-down list to set the time period before the screen turns off automatically
when you do not use the device.
• Password: Switch this option to On to use a password when unlocking the device. If you enable this
option, a page for creating a password opens.
9.2.4 Notification
On the Apps screen, tap Settings > notifications+actions.
Use this setting to customize the quick action screen and configure other notification settings.
• Choose your quick actions: Tap to select features from the quick action center which display when you
swipe down from the top of the screen.
• Show notifications in action center when my phone is locked: Select this checkbox to display the
notification banner when on the lock screen.
• Tap apps and configure the notification settings.
– Show in action center: Switch this option to On to display the notification related to each app in action
center.
– Show notification banners: Select this checkbox to display the notification banners on the screen.
– Notification sound: Tap drop-down list to select the notification sounds. You can turn off the notification
sounds by selecting none.
– Vibrate: Select this checkbox to set your device to vibrate for notifications.
– LED Notification: Select this checkbox to activate the LED notification light.
9.2.5 Synchronization
On the Apps screen, tap Settings > sync my settings.
Use this setting to synchronize your device with other devices.
You can configure this setting after adding the Microsoft account.
