7.4.4 Finding Contacts
You can search for contacts by name or number.

On the Start screen, tap .

Swipe the screen on People app until CONTACTS tab appears.

Tap .

Enter letters of their name or digits of their phone number.
As you type, contacts that includes the letters or numbers will appear below the search box.

Tap the contact you are searching to view it.
7.4.5 Contact Settings

On the Start screen, tap .

Tap > settings on any tab of the Phone app to specify various contact settings.
• add contacts: Set up accounts or get the related app for adding contacts.
• filter contact list: Specify display options by switching filter contacts on or off. If you activate this feature,
you can only display contacts saved with phone number.
• import from SIM: Import contacts from SIM cards.
• Sort list by: Specify the method for sorting the list between First name and Last name.
• Display names by: Specify the method for displaying the list between First Last and Last, First.
• Use my location: Turn on this option to use your location for finding nearby places and check in.
• Save check-in searches and locations with my Microsoft account to improve search results:
Select the checkbox to improve search result with using the Microsoft account you registered.
7.4.6 Calling Contacts

On the Start screen, tap .

Swipe the screen on People app until CONTACTS tab appears.

Tap the name of a contact to view their details.

Select the number and tap it.
It calls the number at once. For more information, refer to Making Calls on page 45.
