l Use the second jump wire to connect the mi-
nus poles on auxiliary battery and starter bat-
tery.
l Perform the starting process as described be-
fore.
l Once the engine is running disconnect the mi-
nus poles first and the plus poles after.

Note
This method rules out a short circuit caused by the
contact of plus and minus cables.
l Reattach the battery cover.
3.7 Work/operation

Note
As soon as the engine responds to short throttle
commands you may start to operate the vibratory
plate.

Danger
Danger of accident!
Only operate the vibratory plate with the steer-
ing rod folded down.
Guide the vibratory plate only by the steering
rod.
Use your personal noise insulation means (ear
defenders).

l Pull the locking lever (Fig. 13) up and fold the
steering rod down.
