Loosen screw (3) on the rocker arm.
Adjust the hexagon nut (2), until the feeler gauge (1) can be
inserted and pulled out with noticeable resistance after the
screw (3) has been tightened.
Install the valve cover (2) with a new gasket.
Tighten the fastening screws (1) evenly.
Assemble covering (1) and air filter cover (2).
After a short test run check the valve cover for leaks.
6.8.4 Checking the screw joints on the diesel engine
Park the machine in secured condition.
Allow the engine to cool down.
