6.9.4 Changing the oil in the exciter housing
Perform this maintenance work at the latest after 500
operating hours
NOTICE!
Components may get damaged!
– Use only oil of the permitted specifica-
tion

Protective equipment:

Working clothes
n
Protective gloves
Park the machine on level ground.
Park the machine in secured condition.
Clean the area around oil breather filter (1) and filling/drain
plug (2).
Tilt the machine slightly towards the oil drain side and sup-
port it safely.
Unscrew the bleeding screw.
WARNING!
Danger of burning on hot components!
– Wear your personal protective outfit (protec-
tive gloves, protective clothing).
Unscrew the filling/drain plug and catch any oil running out.
Tilt the machine to the opposite side and secure it properly.
Fill in new oil.
