Pull the rope with the starter handle (Fig. 5)
until a resistance can be felt.
•
Now let the starter handle return to initial posi-
tion.

Pull the rope with the starter handle quickly and
with power out as far as possible (Fig. 6).
Do not let the starter handle hit back.
•
Guide the starter rope with your hand back to
initial position.
•
If the engine does not start with the first try,
repeat the starting process.

Open the choke (Fig. 7) after 3 to 6 seconds,
position "RUN".

Set the throttle lever (Fig. 8) to position "MIN"
and warm the engine up for 1 to 2 minutes.
Once the engine is warm, the tamper can be used
for compaction.
