Check the fuse and replace it or reset the circuit breaker if blown, ensuring you use the correct fuses. If the voltage supply is lower than specified on the unit's data plate, contact your local power company. Also, the thermostat could be miswired or faulty. Try setting the fan to 'ON' to see if it runs. Test the cooling and heating modes by adjusting the thermostat to the lowest and highest temperature settings, respectively. If the blower or compressor doesn't run in any of these cases, check the thermostat wiring and voltage at the low voltage terminal strip. Replace the thermostat if it's defective.

Inspect the wiring at the compressor, capacitor, and contactor for any loose or broken wires. Check the UPM board red default L.E.D. for Blink Codes. If the compressor is cool and the overload won't reset, it likely needs to be replaced. A compressor motor grounded or open windings can also cause this issue, requiring compressor replacement. After the compressor cools, check the continuity of the compressor windings; if they are open, replace the compressor.
