• Consequences: Describes the consequences of non-compliance
• Precaution: Species how the hazard can be prevented

Warning signs, signal word Meaning
DANGER
Indicates a dangerous situation which will result in death or
serious physical injury unless averted.
WARNING
Indicates a dangerous situation which could result in death
or serious physical injury unless averted.
CAUTION
Indicates a dangerous situation which could result in minor
to moderate physical injury unless it is averted.
NOTICE
Material damage: the product or its environment could be
damaged.
