  To address distorted sound on your Bose Recording Equipment, try the following: * Check that the Input Clip indicators are not lit red. If an LED is red, adjust the Max Input Level setting and/or Input Gain to better match the source output level. * If Max Input Level is set to 18 dBu and clipping still occurs, reduce the source Output level by reducing Output Gain from the source or use an inline attenuator device (pad). * If the SP-24 sound processor isn't showing clipping, reduce the Output Gain. * Use the SP-24 Editor software for full control and visibility of Input and Output levels. Adjust for optimal gain staging using the meters. * Verify that the loudspeakers are not overdriven or damaged by the amplifier.
