Linking a Remote Control to a Patient’s Stimulator
A new Remote Control that is intended to be given to a patient for their use must be linked to the patient’s
Stimulator as the ‘Patient Remote.’
To link a Remote Control to the patient’s stimulator:
1. Place the Stimulator into Pairing Mode by placing the DBS Pairing Magnet directly over the Stimulator
for at least 2 seconds and then remove the magnet.
2. Unlock the Remote Control.
3. The
Link to Stimulator? screen will appear. Select Yes to link to the Stimulator. The
Stimulator Search screen displays. If the
Link to Stimulator? screen does not automatically
display, you can manually initiate linking from the
Clinician Menu. See the “Stimulator Search and
Linking” section of this manual for further information.
