6 Fixing the Machine in Place 6
Anchoring:
Cementing in stone bolts:
Steps:
§ Insert stone bolts in the holes of the machine trough with spring washers and nuts.
§ Level the machine. If the floor is uneven, level the machine with leveling plates and even out the
surface with filler (epoxy resins).
§ Fill anchoring holes with fast-drying cement.
After the concrete sets, finish the machine installation as given in Point 6.3.
Safety expansion anchor:
Steps:
§ Position the machine in its intended position. Note the transport information in Chapter 4.
§ Use the holes of the machine trough as a drilling template.
Prebore with 16 mm (.6 in) stone drill. Minimum drilling depth 130 mm (5.1 in). Drill in vertically!
§ Take the machine away.
§ Drill the holes 130 mm (5.1 in) deep with a 25 mm (1.0 in) stone drill. .
§ Clean the boreholes.
§ The plug is not permitted to be longer than the thickness of the foundation.
§ Position the machine and level.
If the floor is uneven, level the machine with leveling plates and even out the surface with
filler (epoxy resins).
Finish the machine installation according to Point 6.3.
Threaded rod (bored-through ceiling)
Steps:
§ Position the machine in its intended position. Note the transport information in Chapter 4.
Use the holes of the machine rough as a drilling template.
§ Prebore with 16 mm (.6 in) stone drill. Drill in vertically!
§ Take the machine away.
§ Use a 20 mm/.8 in stone drill to drill the holes for normal ceiling installation
(see foundation schematic, Point 5.4)
§ Position the machine and level.
The machine must lie flatly on the ceiling.
If the floor is uneven, level the machine with leveling plates and even out the surface with
filler (epoxy resins).
Finish the machine installation according to Point 6.3.
