8.2.14 ADJUSTING BRAKE PEDAL
Release the parking brake. 1.
BRAKE PEDAL

5 - 10 mm (0.19 - 0.39 in)
2. Depress the brake pedal (1) slightly and then
release it.
3. Check the free play of the pedal when releasing it.
4. Unscrew the lock nut (2) of the brake rod under the
oorandturntheturnbuckle(3)toadjustthefreeplay.
5. Adjust both pedals to the same amount of free play.
6. Tighten the lock nut.

8.2.15 ADJUSTING FAN BELT TENSION
Stop the engine, remove the ignition key and
apply the parking brake.
Check the tension of the fan belt (1).
Loosenthetensionadjustingbolt(2).
Place a stick or pipe between the alternator (3)
and cylinder block.
Push the alternator outwards to adjust the fan
belt tension.
Tighten the adjusting bolt.
