8.4.4 ADF Performance Test (Function code 08)
Function
The machine counts the documents fed by the automatic document feeder (ADF) and
displays the count on the LCD for checking the ADF performance.
Operating Procedure
(1) Set documents. (Allowable up to the ADF capacity.)
The "DOC. READY" will appear on the LCD.

Press the 0 and 8 keys in this order.

Press the
key or key several times to display the “MAINTENANCE 08” code on
the LCD. Then press the Set key .
While counting the documents, the machine feeds them in and out, displaying the
current count on the LCD as shown below.

(3) To return the machine to the initial stage of the maintenance mode, press the Stop/Exit
key.
