Do not remove a cartridge unless its ink runs out because removing a cartridge while it contains ink may cause ink to leak out. * If you are using non Brother Original ink the machine may not detect the ink cartridge. Use a Brother Original ink cartridge and clear this error by opening and closing the printer’s ink cartridge cover. * The cartridge’s expiration date has passed. You can clear this error by opening and closing the printer’s ink cartridge cover. If you continue to use the cartridge, print quality may decrease. Replace the ink cartridge.
