Three position slide switch with the following functions:
"All" Completely resets the Sound Level Meter when the RESET but-
ton is depressed.
"Max./Min." Only the Max. and Min. hold circuits are reset when RE-
SET button is pressed. Leq and SEL computations are not reset.
Overload indication is not reset.
"Pause" Leq and SEL computations and Max/Min hold and SPL detec-
tors are interrupted. The different measurements over the same mea-
surement period can then be displayed successively by moving the
DISPLAY selector.
Four position slide switch for selecting the frequency weighting as
follows:
"A" "A" weighting (in accordance with IEC) is applied. See Fig.5.2.
"C" "C" weighting (in accordance with IEC) is applied. See Fig.5.2.
"Lin. "" Linear weighting from 20Hz to 20kHz is applied. See Fig.5.3.
"Lin." Linear weighting from 10Hz to 50 kHz is applied. See Fig.5.3.
All weightings are applied to the AC and DC outputs. The frequency
range over which SPL measurements are made will also depend on
the microphone response.
Two position slide switch as follows:
"Out" The external filter socket is by-passed. A filter set fitted to the
bottom socket will be by-passed and not powered.
"In" The signal is routed through the filter set (Type 1624 or 1625)
connected to the bottom socket, and the filter set is automatically
switched on.
When there is no filter set attached, the EXT.FIL TER switch must be
set to "Out".
Two position switch for selecting sound incidence weighting:
"Frontal" The free field oo incidence frequency response of the mi-
crophone is unweighted.
"Random" The frequency response of the microphone is weighted to
obtain a flat random incidence frequency response.
Five position slide switch with the following functions:
"SPL" The maximum sound pressure level which occured during the
last second is digitally displayed, and updated every 1 s.
"Min." The minimum SPL which has occured since the instrument was
last reset is displayed.
