input stage to measure levels up to 150 dB. The corresponding full
scale deflection values are given in brackets on the right of the FSD
switch.

When the Attenuator is fitted a 20 dB correction is automatically ap-
plied by the Sound Level Meter. The value displayed corresponds to
the correct SPL, and does not need extra correction. When the internal
reference signal is applied , the displayed value will be 114 dB + K
0
(microphone correction factor). When the Sound Level Calibrator Type
4230 or the Pistonphone Type 4220 is applied to the microphone the
displayed value will be 93,8 dB and 124 dB respectively.
WARNING: For safe measurement of high sound levels, persons must
be
fitted with adequate ear protection.
A 15-pin connector for direct attachement of Octave Filter Set Type
1624
or 1f1 - 1f3 Octave Filter Set Type 1625. To attach a Filter Set
remove the protective plastic plate at the bottom part of the Sound
Level Meter.
