12. USE
Only one person is required to open or close the cover.
For information, a 12 metre pool is uncovered in approximately 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
To open the pool, turn the key to «OUV» (open) and hold it there for at least 2 seconds. Upon releasing the
key, the cover will continue to roll up around the axle automatically. To stop the operation, turn the key to
«FER» (close) and hold it there for at least 1.5 seconds, then release the key in the central position (turned
to “0”). Cover opening will be automatically interrupted by end of travel.
To close the pool, turn the key to «FER» (close) and maintain contact. If the key is released while the cover
is rolling out, the cover will stop in accordance with the French standard NF P90-308. Cover closing will be
automatically interrupted by end of travel.
13. MAINTENANCE AND WINTERING
The COVERDECK motor assembly does not require any maintenance.
Never attempt to open the motor. It is pressurised with a gas that will escape if any attempt is made to
open it.
The motor belt is adjusted in the factory using the tension eccentric on the end xing plate around which
the motor is positioned. Never loosen this eccentric, this would introduce slack on the belt and could
interfere with the correct operation of the COVERDECK motor assembly.
However, the COVERDECK motor may be removed for wintering after the cover has been rolled out over
the pool:
1 Unscrew and disconnect the motor (caution, never leave it steeping in water);
2 Screw the wintering cap onto the motor connector;
3 Unscrew the 4 screws holding the motor in position (caution, do not loosen the tension eccentric);
4 Remove the motor and take the belt off the drive gear;
5 Store the motor in a dry place, protected from the elements.
To replace the motor, carry out this procedure in the reverse order. An end of travel offset may be noted.
Check precision by completely opening and then completely closing the pool. If necessary, reprogramme
the ends of travel. (To do this recommence the programming procedure at step 2).
