BYD M6 AUTO Owner’s Manual
Emergency Handling 5-17
CAUTION
y Take special care when towing
the vehicle behind another
vehicle. Avoid sudden
acceleration and hard steering,
which may exert great stress on
the tow hook, towing cable or
chain. If the hitch or cable is
broken, severe personal injury
or vehicle damage will be
caused.
NOTICE
y Only use the specified cable or
chain for towing. And firmly
attach the cable or chain to the
tow hook.
Before towing, release the parking
brake and set the transmission to N
gear.
The ignition switch must be at ACC
with the engine switched off or ON
with the engine running.
CAUTION
y If the engine is not running, the
power assist for the brakes and
steering will not work, so
steering and braking will be
much harder than usual.
Install Front Tow Hook
1. Remove the tow hook cover from
the front bumper.
2. Get the front tow hook on hand.
