Jacking Points
It is prohibited to place the jack at the
locations indicated by z in the figure
above.
Front – suspension crossbeam
Rear – bottom plate
Position the jack at the locations
indicated by  in the figure above.
CAUTION
When jacking, be sure to following
the instructions below to reduce the
possibility of severe injury or even
death:
y Follow the manufacturer’s
instructions on using the jack.
y Don’t put any part of your body
under the vehicle supported by
the jack. Otherwise, personal
injury may occur.
y Don’t start or run the engine
while the vehicle is supported by
the jack.
y Stop the vehicle on a level and
solid ground, firmly set the
parking brake and put the
transmission in “P” (automatic)
or N (manual) gear. If necessary,
block both the front and rear of
the wheel that is diagonally
opposite from the jack position.
y Make sure to locate the jack
properly at the jack point.
Raising the vehicle with an
improperly positioned jack may
damage the vehicle or allow the
vehicle to fall off the jack and
cause personal injury.
y Never get under the vehicle
when it is supported by the jack
alone. If you have to do so,
always support the vehicle with
safety stands.
y Don't raise the vehicle with
someone in it.
y When raising the vehicle, do not
place any objects on top of or
underneath the jack.
NOTICE
y An improperly positioned jack
will cause damage to the
vehicle.
