NOTICE
y Prevent the oil from dripping on
any vehicle part.
y Don’t add too much oil,
otherwise the engine may be
damaged. Check the oil level
again with the dipstick after
adding oil.
Recommended Oil to Use
Engine oil is very important to
maintain the performance of the
engine and extend its service life.
Only use clean, high quality oil. For
optimum operation of the vehicle, we
recommend you to use BYD genuine
engine oil.
y API class: SG or above
y SAE viscosity class:
5W-30 (above -30°C)
10W-30/40 (year around in the
south and summer in the north,
above -15°C)
Recommended oil viscosity (SAE)
In extreme cold weather, you are
recommended to use SAE 5W-30 as
it provides the best performance. Oil
of SAE 10W-30 or above makes the
engine hard to start.
