BYD M6 AUTO Owner’s Manual
Safety Devices 1-40
CAUTION
y After inserting the tongue, make
sure the buckle is locked firmly
and the seat belt is not twisted.
y Do not leave small objects, such
as a coin or paper clip, in the
buckle, as they may prevent
proper engagement of the
tongue and buckle.
y If the seat belt cannot function
normally, contact a BYD service
station immediately. The
affected seat cannot be
occupied until the seat belt
system is replaced or repaired. A
faulty seat belt cannot protect
the occupant reliably in the
event of a collision.
Interference between seat belt and
armrest
To fasten the seat belt when an outer
armrest is used, arrange the shoulder
belt above the armrest and the lap
belt under the armrest.
CAUTION
y Always wear the seat belt
properly, arranging the shoulder
belt above the armrest and the
lap belt under the armrest.
Failure to arrange the seat belt
properly could increase the risk
of injury in a collision.
