BYD has taken the common misuse
of the vehicle and various road
conditions into full consideration when
conducting airbag presetting.
However, as specific conditions of
each collision are infinitely variable,
please use your vehicle in good
manner while strictly following
instructions in this manual. Misuse of
the vehicle may reduce the protection
performance of the airbag system.
SRS Airbag Components
The major components and their
locations of the M6 SRS airbag
system are shown in the figure above.
1. Front crash sensor
2. Airbag electronic control unit
(ECU)
3. SRS warning light
4. Clock spring
5. Driver’s airbag module
(front airbag inflator)
6. Front passenger airbag module
(front airbag inflator)
7. Seat belt warning sensor
8. Side crash sensor (if equipped)
9. Front side airbag module
(if equipped, side airbag inflator)
10. Curtain airbag module
(if equipped, side airbag inflator)
