Why Calpeda NG Water Pump motor does not start?

  The motor of your Calpeda Water Pump might not be starting due to several reasons: * The power supply may be unsuitable. Ensure the mains frequency and voltage are correct. * The electrical connections could be incorrect. Make sure the power supply cable is properly connected and check the thermal overload protection setting. * The engine overload protection might have activated. Inspect the power supply and confirm the pump shaft turns freely. Also, verify the thermal overload protection setting. * The fuses may be blown or defective. Replace them and check the power supply and shaft. * The shaft could be blocked. Please refer to the “Blocked pump” instructions. * The motor may have failed. In this case, repair or replace it.

  If your Calpeda Water Pump has insufficient flow, consider the following: * Pipes and accessories might be too small. Use pipes and accessories suitable for your specific application. * There might be deposits or solid bodies in the impeller. Clean the impeller and install a suction filter. * The impeller could be deteriorated or worn, along with the pump case. Replace the impeller, and if necessary, the pump casing. * Gases may be dissolved in the water. Perform opening and closing manoeuvres through the feeder gate. * The liquid being pumped might have excessive viscosity, making the pump unsuitable. * The direction of rotation could be incorrect. Invert the electrical connections in the terminal board.

  If your Calpeda Water Pump is blocked: * Due to prolonged periods of inactivity, unblock the pump by using a screwdriver to turn the relevant notch on the back of the shaft. * If there are solid bodies in the impeller, remove any solid foreign bodies inside the impeller. * If the bearings are seized, replace them.

  If your Calpeda Water Pump is running but no water is being pumped, it could be due to: * Air inside the pump or suction pipe. Release the air from the pump using the delivery control valve. * Possible air infiltration. Check for any loose connections and seal them. * A blocked foot valve or suction pipe not fully immersed in liquid. Clean or replace the bottom valve and ensure a suitable suction pipe is used. * A blocked suction filter. Clean or replace the filter. Also, check for solid bodies in the impeller.
