1.
Before mounting a flash unit, make sure its
power
switch is
OFF.
2.
Two
flash units can
be
fired simultaneously
by placing one
in
the accessory shoe and con-
necting the other to the
PC
socket.
3.
It is recommended
to
use a Canon flash unit
on this camera. Using a
flash
or
flash
accessory
of
another make may cause the
camera
to
work improperly or even possibly
damage the camera itself.

Automatic
Flash (with Ordinary Electronic
Computer Flash Units)
1.
Turn the AE-1 PROGRAM's shutter speed
selector dial
to
1/
60
second.
2. Remove the aperture ring
of
an
FD
lens
from
"A"
and turn it to the automatic aperture
which you have set
on
the flash.
