INSTALLATION
Before beginning installation of your 758 weight indicator, make certain that the instrument has
been received in good condition. Carefully remove the instrument from the shipping carton and
inspect it for any evidence of damage (such as exterior dents or scratches) that may have taken
place during shipment. Keep the carton and packing material for return shipment if it should
become necessary. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to file all claims for any damages or
loss incurred during transit, unless this responsibility has been accepted by the seller in its
proposal. Should your 758 come already installed on a scale, the following information
describing the installation of the instrument does not apply to you.
Begin the installation by deciding where the instrument is to be mounted. The 758 may come
mounted on a column or you may choose to mount it on a desktop or wall. Refer to Figure No. 1
for illustrations of the mounting brackets. Two (2) holes are located in the mounting bracket for
attachment to the wall. This bracket may be removed or left in place for desktop use.
Regardless of how and where you mount your 758, it should be in a safe area where it will not be
in the way of normal traffic. The location chosen should be free of temperature extremes and
water. It should be in a location where the display is easily viewed and is not subject to direct
sunlight. The indicator should be mounted such that it is within easy reach of the operator. If wall
mounted, make certain that the structure and mounting bolts are of sufficient strength to support
the 758. The mounting bracket should be securely fastened to the wall or column top so that it
cannot break loose from the mounting surface. After the 758 has been mounted, it may be
connected to the plug-in power supply or the batteries may be installed.
