aRTK is an innovave feature available in Carlson’s BRx7 Smart Antenna
that greatly migates the impact of land‐based communicaon instability.
Powered by Hemisphere’s Atlas L‐band system service, aRTK provides an
addional layer of communicaon redundancy to RTK users, assuring that
producvity is not impacted by intermient data connecvity.
BRx7 receives the aRTK augmentaon correcon data over satellite,
while also receiving the land‐ based RTK correcon data. With this, the
receiver internally operates with two sources of RTK correcon, creang
one addional layer of correcon redundancy as compared to typical RTK
systems.
Once this process is established (a few seconds), the receiver can operate
in the absence of either correcon source. The receiver can connue
generang RTK posions if the land‐based RTK correcon source becomes
unavailable for a period of me.
SureFix is an addional processor that runs in combinaon with the RTK
engine and provides high delity quality indicators to users.
The SureFix processor takes several inputs, such as GNSS data, data
preprocessing results, and generated RTK soluons. Using all the available
informaon and funconal and stochasc analysis methods, SureFix
determines the quality of the current RTK engine soluon.
Shown as SureFix quality indicators, these indicators are combined with
the RTK soluon before being provided to the user. At the end of the
process, the user has access to high delity informaon about the quality
of the RTK soluon.
