3. Press the "FUNCTION" button to perform the "ROM Version check (External)". The conrmation
chords C4, E4, G4 sound.
The "ELEC PIANO", "CLASSIC", "MODERN", "RECORDER" LEDs illuminate and the "R" LED ashes
while on stand-by.

If you don’t wish to perform the "ROM version check (External)", go on to the step (1) of the "4. Button
check".

4. Each time you press the "SONG (

)" button, the status of the LEDs changes.
Check to see if the LEDs illuminate in the order shown below.
QC number: 8000501 to 8028031 External ROM (0100): 0 → 1 → 0 → 0 → Stand-by mode
QC number: 8028032 or later External ROM (0103): 0 → 1 → 0 → 3 → Stand-by mode

* While the external ROM version is indicated, the "R" LED keeps ashing.
4. Button check
1. Press the "FUNCTION" button to perform the "BUTTON check".
The conrmation chords C4, E4, G4 sound, and all LEDs turn off.
2. Press the buttons in the order indicated in the illustration on the bottom.
Each time the button is pressed, the conrmation chord C6 sounds.
If a button is not operating properly or a button is pressed in a wrong order, an error tone (F2) sounds.
* You cannot cancel this test procedure mid-way.
3. When the "ELEC PIANO" button is pressed at the end, the conrmation chords C4, E4, G4 sound and
all LEDs turn off.
