NOTE: Before connecting anything to the cash register unplug the cash
register’s power source. Connecting equipment while power is still being
supplied can result in equipment damage (component & equipment failure).
1) On the left hand side of the TE-2200/2400 there is a cover.
2) Opening the door (by pulling down) it will expose the Communication ports.
There are two (2) DB 9 male connector COM ports that are labeled COM 1 (PC)
and COM 2 (scanner). The PAX payment terminal can be connected to either
COM 1 or COM 2.
3) The PAX SP-30 device has a coiled Y-cable attached with two (2) RJ
connectors. There will be a second cable with a RJ-15 and DB-9 connector.
Connect the RJ-15 connector into the corresponding connector on the SP-30 and
the DB-9 connector to COM 1 or COM 2 of the cash register.
4) The second connector on the SP-30’s attached cable is a RJ-45 connector
used to connect the SP-30 to the Internet connection. Power to the SP-30 is
supplied by the Casio COM ports, there is no external power supply for the PAX
