Follow these steps to operate the buddy breather.

A radio message must be sent immediately to the BACO or Incident
Controller
.
1.1 Follow CFA SOP 9.15 Mayday Radio
Procedure:
1. Press the duress button on the radio, hold
for two seconds and as soon as possible
press the PRESS to TALK key to transmit the
following information.
2. MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY
3. Your call sign
4. Your location
5 A summary of the situation
6 What assistance is required
1.2 The provider checks their gauge and
confirms they have the preferred minimum
150 bar.
The provider reassures the receiver that the
situation is in hand and that they are taking
control.
2 Connect the buddy breathers.
2.1 The provider opens the press studs on the
flap of their waist mounted storage pouch.
