6 Re-stow the BA as appropriate.
Functional Test
If the BA has passed the visual inspection successfully, conduct the functional test.
The functional test is carried out after each wear of the BA, a minimum of
weekly. The functional checks should be conducted with a full cylinder.
If the BA does not function properly or any part of the BA fails as
described in the Functional Test topic, it must be removed from service
and returned to the State PPE&C Management Centre with an attached
fault report.
Perform the function test
Follow these steps to perform the function test.

1 Battery status check.
1.1 While in SLEEP mode, check the battery
status by pressing and holding either of the
green RESET buttons for four seconds.
The LCD screen will illuminate and display a large battery status icon,
depending on the icon displayed, follow the procedures for dealing with low
batteries.
