MSA G1 Electronic Breathing Apparatus
Step Description Illustration/Result
3 Place a programmed RFID MSA tag over the RFID reader (indicated by the
green sticker) on the power module located at the base of the backplate on
the
operators right side.
The tagging is successful.
The RFID symbol turns green and
confirm
with a beep.
The tagging failed or is unsuccessful
The RFID symbol turns red.
The RFID
could not be read. Try
again or check the ID Tag note
message on the control unit.
4 After a short time the LCD screen
will switch off.
The passive RFID chips can be used by the State PPE&C Management
Centre. This function is NOT available to operators.
Components
The MSA G1 E incorporates the following components:
carrier frame;
harness assembly;
pressure reducer;
mechanical low pressure warning whistle;
battery;
power module;
control module;
demand valve;
facemask with heads-up display (HUD);
voice projection speaker; and
buddy breather.
