MSA G1 Electronic Breathing Apparatus
Control module start-up sequence
When the control module is activated, the BA will initiate a start-up sequence that
incorporates a system self-test. The sequence is described below.
Step Description Illustration
1 The LCD screen displays the logo screen
showing the MSA logo and unit serial number
2 Visible and audible alerts activate
automatically, indicating the BA is
functioning
properly, as per the following sequence
2.1 Brief sound from the pressure reducer low pressure warning whistle.
2.2 Chirp from the power module and voice projection speaker
2.3 HUD alarm and pressure LED lights cycle through:
Yellow low battery LED flashes once
(bottom LED)
Red running person LED flashes once
(middle LED)
Blue triangle LED flashes once (top LED)
Red triangle LED flashes once (top LED)
Red pressure (1 light) LED flashes once
(top LED)
